Buckscent Corbett Retreat lies in the Pawalgarh Conservation Reserve area of the Corbett Tiger Reserve where the endangered tiger, the tusked elephant wander, and more than a hundred species of migrant birds flock.

The reserve became famous after the publication of the story “Bachelor of Pawalgarh” in the book “Maneaters of the Kumaon” published by legendary hunter and conservationist, Jim Corbett in 1944.
